Wedding Services

Welcome! Since you have arrived on this page, it's fair to say you or a friend are contemplating marriage within the not-so-distant future and are considering the services of a videographer. You're on the right track! Although five years ago it was still common to have weddings without a videographer, now the opposite is true. Technologies have improved so much that cameras can capture high quality pictures without the need for bulky lights and handlers that might otherwise cause the process to become obtrusive. Even more recently, the cost of putting your wedding on a permanent format (DVD) has come down remarkably. Now it is shortsighted to skip the videographer. Why short-shrift the most important memory of your life? Of course you can have your favorite uncle video tape it! Chances are, however, that he doesn't really know where to stand or what to shoot. And he probably doesn't have three or four hours of batteries to run the camera. So without rehashing any horror stories I've heard, you've made a good decision to look for a professional to both video and edit your wedding.

Video Excellence

What makes an excellent wedding video? And yes, we're going to meet any standards discussed here! Two basic processes are important, video capturing and video editing. Video capturing is the process of videoing your event. To do it well, it helps to have high quality digital cameras and wireless microphones. (We have the best). The result will be a very colorful, detailed picture, and crisp vows during the ceremony. If your budget will afford it, it also helps to have extra camera coverage, especially at large weddings or if you hope to get those extra bride and groom camera angles during the ceremony.

Video editing, the second basic process, needs just as much attention as video capture in creating your special video. You can capture the best pictures in the world but if you can't cut them up with precision and add soundtracks while maintaining picture quality, your wedding isn't going to be the heirloom that you or your friends watch often. To maximize this quality measure, it's helpful to have computerized editing equipment which minimizes the need to compress the captured video when it hits the computer's hard drives. Since you're on our page, I'll point out that our editing equipment doesn't compress the captured video at all! True broadcast quality is maintained throughout the process. Not many wedding videographers can say this. You can probably count them on one hand in the Philadelphia area.

Another important part of the video editing process is adding variation and creativity to the pictures themselves. As children of the TV generation, we are accustomed to shorter clips, quick changes, and textures being added to the pictures. By adding variation, we keep the viewers attention and pleasure!

Videographer Excellence

What makes a videographer excellent? An excellent videographer provides an exceptional wedding video as described above, and he or she does it unobtrusively. Unless the bride and groom wish to have the whole wedding made into a Music Video with bridesmaids and observers singing their respective parts, there is no reason for the videographer to interfere with the wedding process. Energy is important here. At times the videographer will need to move quickly to get from one place to another, but with quickness, nothing should need to slow down. Finally, trust is important. The bride and groom need to feel that the videographer is going to accomplish what needs to be accomplished. The trust level goes up when you know the person you talked to is actually going to film your wedding!

Your Personal Video

Following the process discussed above you will end up with a video that achieves a level of excellence. To make it even more personal and romantic for you, we will take to heart any suggestions or preferences you may have about the type of coverage or editing style for your heirloom. Do you want soft and blurry romantic scenes of the bride and groom? Do you want perfect clarity? Do you want special computer generated transitions between scenes? Do you want interviews [although we don't recommend this]? Tell us what you want. This is your day and we want this to be your personal video.
